Brick House By K.S.

There’s a small brick house

It sits atop a small hill

Beautiful trees all around it

Colorful flowers surround it

The sun shines on the small brick house

Besides a few clouds, but they’ll pass

It’s always light and wonderful there

Life goes on without a care

Sometimes the wind blows on the small brick house

Dark, strong, hungry for destruction

It rips and tears at the weakest bricks

Howling and screaming using all its’ tricks

Brick by brick I rebuild the small brick house

Putting more mortar down than the time before

And though the storm has passed

I know it’s only time ‘till  it comes back

There’s a small brick house

It sits atop a small hill

Beautiful trees all around it

Colorful flowers surround it
